HOMECOMING
As always, homecoming ceremonies were held at
johnson Park, on November 6. The varsity football
players selected Becky Waugh as their queen with
Anita Sanseverino and Debbie Lewandoski as atten-
dants. The team's choice for the king was Marty
Mayfield, with runners-up, Doug Whitlock and
Mark Lofton.
Becky Waugh, an honor roll student, has been a
cheerleader three years and was selected as a
member of the year book staff this year.

Each year the home room that
contributes the largest amount
to the Red Cross Drive is
named the most generous. This
year it was Mr. Tucker's home
room. But Mrs. Warren's was a
close second and collected
over 400 cans for the canned
food drive and filled more
Christmas stockings than any
other room, so together the
two rooms shared the honor.
Each received a plaque to be
hung permanently in their
respective rooms.

A successful newspaper drive really showed school spirit.
This year Mrs Ratliff s homeroom- 114 - won the
most spirited award because they were the
homeroom which displayed the greatest amount
of leadership and spirit in school sponsored ac-
tivities during the year. The student council
sponsors activities which are rated on a point
system that are accumulative, and Mrs. Ratliff's
homeroom obtained the greatest number of
spirit points for these activities and won the
competitive award of "Most Spirited". A plaque
was presented to this homeroom to be per-
manently displayed in the room.
