A x Mr. lim Norman Mr. Ron Wheaton VICE-PRINCIPAL For the second year Mr. Wheaton is the counselor for the seventh and eighth grades. He has a B.S. degree from the University of Tulsa in history and a Masters in education, majoring in guidance. Mr. Wheaton came to Nimitz five years ago as a geography and civics teacher. His hobbies are horses, livestock, raising animals, huntingland fishing which his wife, S erry, shares. Ron Wheaton is a young man that students relate to and confide in. He performs his enormous duties with ease and perfection. As a teacher he was selected as the favorite in 1972-73 and as their counselor he is the same. Mr. Norman is the assistant principal and boys' dean. Besides his counseling duties, he is in charge of all bus passes and lockers for which he keeps a file of all locks. Mr. Norman earned his B.A. and Masters degree from East Central University. After teaching in a number of small towns he came to Tulsa's Roosevelt junior High as a social studies teacher. He moved to Wright junior High as assistant principal before taking the same position at Nimitz 3 years ago. Mr. Norman and his wife, Vanoice, have a married son, Greg, and a daughter, Vickie, who attends Mason. He likes gardening, but his greatest joy is jeff, a three year old grandson. Students and teachers know lim Norman as a friend and his calm, sedate and fair characteristics make him a favorite with everyone at Nimitz. ,4-r Mrs. Robinson has taken care of all ninth grade activities, parties, senior high enrollment, personal problems and counseling for the last four years. She has a masters degree from the University of Tulsa in guidance and also has a B.S. in English from Northeastern. Mrs. Rhetta Robinson Mrs. Robinson previously taught first grade at Carnegie and found many of her students promoted with her to Nimitz when she joined the faculty to teach English eight years ago. Rhetta Robinson enjoys swimming and traveling. And no wonder she and her husband like to attend sport events when their son, joey, is an outstanding senior basketball player at Memorial. Mrs. Robinson is a most sincere and dedicated counselor and Nimitz's girls and ninth graders appreciate her.
