A x Mr. lim Norman Mr. Ron Wheaton VICE-PRINCIPAL For the second year Mr. Wheaton is the counselor for the seventh and eighth grades. He has a B.S. degree from the University of Tulsa in history and a Masters in education, majoring in guidance. Mr. Wheaton came to Nimitz five years ago as a geography and civics teacher. His hobbies are horses, livestock, raising animals, huntingland fishing which his wife, S erry, shares. Ron Wheaton is a young man that students relate to and confide in. He performs his enormous duties with ease and perfection. As a teacher he was selected as the favorite in 1972-73 and as their counselor he is the same. Mr. Norman is the assistant principal and boys' dean. Besides his counseling duties, he is in charge of all bus passes and lockers for which he keeps a file of all locks. Mr. Norman earned his B.A. and Masters degree from East Central University. After teaching in a number of small towns he came to Tulsa's Roosevelt junior High as a social studies teacher. He moved to Wright junior High as assistant principal before taking the same position at Nimitz 3 years ago. Mr. Norman and his wife, Vanoice, have a married son, Greg, and a daughter, Vickie, who attends Mason. He likes gardening, but his greatest joy is jeff, a three year old grandson. Students and teachers know lim Norman as a friend and his calm, sedate and fair characteristics make him a favorite with everyone at Nimitz. ,4-r Mrs. Robinson has taken care of all ninth grade activities, parties, senior high enrollment, personal problems and counseling for the last four years. She has a masters degree from the University of Tulsa in guidance and also has a B.S. in English from Northeastern. Mrs. Rhetta Robinson Mrs. Robinson previously taught first grade at Carnegie and found many of her students promoted with her to Nimitz when she joined the faculty to teach English eight years ago. Rhetta Robinson enjoys swimming and traveling. And no wonder she and her husband like to attend sport events when their son, joey, is an outstanding senior basketball player at Memorial. Mrs. Robinson is a most sincere and dedicated counselor and Nimitz's girls and ninth graders appreciate her.

MR. WAY E KE DALL PRINCIPAL Nimitz was very fortunate to have Mr. Wayne Ken- dallas our new principal this year. He has earned a popular position with students, teachers, and parents because of his pride for Nimitz combined with job confidence, experience, enthusiasm and friendly manner. He has a remarkable understan- ding of pupil problems and his fairness and guidance is greatly appreciated. His eloquent and easy-going manner has made the 1974-75 school year run smoothly and happily. Mr. Wayne Kendall came to Nimitz this year from Bell junior High where he was principal. He has had nineteen years experience as a classroom teacher-three in Texas and sixteen in Tulsa. He has taught at Edison, Hamilton and Bell in Tulsa. He received his B.A. and Masters from East Central State and has done additional work at Tulsa Univer- sity and Oklahoma State. He was raised in Ada, Oklahoma and attended a small rural high school. Now he enjoys fishing, hun- ting and walks through the woods. OFFICE STAFF MRS' REBA C Q 95' ,P X t v h4RS.BETTY MARSH This is Mrs. Marsh's second year at Nimitz although she's been with the Tulsa Public School System twenty years. She is Nimitz's atten- dance clerk and takes care of all enrollments, transfers, withdrawals passes to leave school and absences. She has a son, two daughters and four grandchildren. She attended Kansas State and Tulsa University. She likes bridge, sewing and football. Mrs. Tubb attended O.S.U. and has been at Nimitz eight years. She is Mr. Kendall's SeCretary and in charge of the bookstore, the money collected for school projects and does most of the secretarial jobs. Her husband is in the advertising business. Their son is a teacher and her daughter attends O.S.U. Mrs. Tubb enjoys collecting an- tiques and refinishing fur- niture. TUBB 5 --i- V X V -X. Si.
