She holds a B.S. degree in English and Spanish received from Louisiana Tech University. She has an eighteen year old daughter and also a son who goes to Nimitz. She enjoys reading, bowling and playing the piano. MR. CECIL TUCKER is in his second year at Nimitz after six years of teaching physical education, drafting and woods at Cleveland junior High. He is teaching metals this year. His B.S. degree is from Northeastern State College. He also has C V E T Training which he taught two years. Mr. Tucker's wife, a first grade teacher, and he have a three year old daughter, Renee. His outside interests are antique cars and football. MR. ROGER VanDENHENDE teaches U.S. History and has been at Nimitz ten years. He also taught at Cascia Hall one year and at Monroe junior High for six years. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.A. degree in history and political science. Mr. VanDenhende has many interests including playing the bagpipes, fencing, sailing, archery, and folk dancing. He and his wife, who teaches music at Woods Elementary are in- terested in football too since their sons, Eric and Chris, both play football at Rogers Senior High. MRS. HENRI WARREN is a professional artist as well as Nimitz's art teacher. Her water colors are continuously in ex- hibits and she has worked in fashion and childrens' book il- lustration, advertising, display and toy design. She painted the mural in the new pediatrics ward of St. Francis Hospital. Her B.A. degree is from the University of Tulsa, and she has done two years graduate work at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. This is her twelfth year at Nimitz. She previously taught at the senior high school in Columbus, Kansas. She has taught at Eliot Elementary and at Lanier Elementary. Her interests are traveling with her husband, sewing, gardening, painting and her two year old granddaughter. MR. THEOPOLIS CTHEOJ WILLIAMS is in his ninth year as boys' physical education teacher at Nimitz. He has a B.S. degree from Langston University and a Masters degree from Northeastern State College. Coach Williams is a physical education director at the Hutchinson Y.M.C.A. He enjoys participating in all sports. He and his wife are proud of their son who is a third grader at Grimes Elementary. MISS CAROL ZWINCICII was a student teacher last year at Nimitz, and she came back as a regular teacher this year. She teaches seventh and eighth grade English. Her B.S. degree is from the University of Tulsa. She likes sewing, cooking, reading, and bicycling. IMITZ FACULTY

MISS SUSANNA MOSLEY is the speech teacher and is com- pleting her fifth year at Nimitz this year. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. degree and she has done graduate work at the University of Tulsa. She previously taught in Arkansas and she has conducted many creative-drama work- shops. She is a professional act- ress and also teaches Tulsa jun- ior College night classes. With a great interest in travel, she will become a tour guide for a sum- mer job. MRS. jORENE MUNDLIN has been teaching seventh grade geography at Nimitz two years. With a major in political science and history, she graduated from Howard Payne College in Texas with a B.A. degree. Her favorite pastimes are sports, especially tennis also she enjoys reading, sewing and tole painting. MR. DEL PATTERSON teaches economics and this is his fifth year at Nimitz. He has a B.A. degree from Northeastern State College, and his major fields are social studies and technical photography. A graduate of Central High School, he has also attended Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State University. He is married and his hobbies in- clude music, reading, photography and athletics. MRS. jIMMIE jEANNE PIPKIN has been the school librarian since Nimitz opened fourteen years ago. Previously she taught at Whitney junior High. She attended Christian College at Columbia, Missouri, and graduated from Oklahoma University with a B.S. degree in language arts and a Masters degree in library science. A busy mother of four children, a boy, a girl, and twin girls, her favorite hobby is reading, but she also enjoys movies, bridge, and do- ing ceramic work. MRS. jANET RATLIFF is an eighth grade English teacher who started at Nimitz last year. Before moving to Tulsa from Knoxville, Tennessee, she taught two years. She graduated from Murray State University in Kentucky with a B.S. degree in English and psychology. Besides liking to sew, she shares tennis, hiking, and swimming with her husband and daughter, a sixth grader in Grissom Elementary. MISS CHARLOTTE ROWE is in her fifth year of teaching physcial education at Nimitz which she previously taught at Anderson junior High. She received a B.S. degree in educa- tion from Langston University and a Masters degree from the University of Tulsa. Her activities include bowling, softball, and arts and crafts. MRS. ANN SPURGIN teaches ninth grade algebra and eighth grade general mathematics. She started teaching at Nimitz in january 1974. Her B.S. degree is from the University of Tulsa. For a leisure activity she and her husband ride bikes. MISS CAROLYN TROTTER teaches typing and has been at Nimitz five years. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. degree in business education. For two summers she taught typing at Edison to students ranging from seventh graders to adults. Among her in- terests are tole painting, tennis, golf, and water skiing.
