Emphasis on Fundamental Goals Students are learning reasons for taking physical edu- cation classes. Physical ability is coordinated with mental ability; both will grow when they are giyen the oppor- tunity to do so. A course such as physiology- of exercise emphasizes the benefits deriyed Irom actiyity of yarious body systems. Juniors, for the first time this year, were exposed to this course and tound it most beneficial because they had a background in biology. Slimnastics, a new innoyation, was introduced as a collection of indiyidual actiyities which helped each girl to assess her own physical status and plan exercises accordingly. J. Puerkel DRIVER EDUCATION A complete new series of wide screen films has been employed in the Driyer Education Department to help make instruction easier and more enjoyable. Engaged in sponsoring a Traffic Safety Council, the department pre- sently superyises the parking lot.
