'fe X Class History We the Senior Class of 1959 entered Nicholas County High in 1954 with 66 eighth graders Miss Ethel Botts and Mrs Gladys Kenny were our home room sponsors Mr Sandidge became our new pr1nc1 pa The band was organized w1th Mr Stelden as our director In 1955 we were Green Freshmen w1th Miss Ritchey and Miss Brierly as sponsors Our new faculty members were Mr Poe SCIPHCC and Mr Hall Band R.S Wlllzs was a new student. and Mrs L1nv1l1e Math were added to the staff Several of our boys were on the varsity basketball team and went to the State Tournament ln Louisville We gained two new pup1ls Bllly Gaunce and ,Tack Guy As forty e1ght Jolly Junlors we had Mrs Wesley and Mrs Gllley as sponsors Mrs Gilley Math Mr Chaky Band Mr Pumphrey Agriculture Mr Wilson Health and El'lgl1Sh and Miss Crouch Math and El'lg11Sh were new faculty members We were grleved by the death of our principal Mr Will ard Sandidge Mr Poe was acting principal after the death of Mr Sandidge 1958! We finally made it.
