Social Studies Team Teaching Introduced at . American history classes experimented with a new form of teaching this year called team teaching. It consisted of the three American history teachers lecturing at one time or another in each class. Although class size was increased to about fifty students per class, team teaching appeared to be a success. Because of its success in the social studies area, other departments at NHS may also adopt this method in the future. Field trips to Kansas University, Wichita, and Kansas City highlighted the year's activities for students enrolled in Humanities classes. On these trips they toured museums and art galleries containing articles and information on the sub- ject matter that they were studying. The annual government day was held at the Court House for students taking government. The day long session en- abled students to participate in governmental activities and to gain a better knowledge of our Harvey County government. ' In Psychology students observed the many aspects of human behavior in varied environments. International Rela- tion students divided up into six countries and carried on world affairs among the nations. i,i'liROi'ia I Senior Debbie Kutz points out the communist countries in Asia as Steve Wance looks on in World History.
