I' May, when the Newton High Latin Club was host to the Massachusetts branch of the 52 Junior Classical League for their annual meeting. HUNTING AND FISHING CLUB Even though the Hunting and Fishing Club didn't go on regular outdoor expeditions, they did learn about safe hunting, fire fighting, stream control, and wildlife conservation. Some of the club's activities this year included a movie on conservation, a talk on deer hunting, and a fly tying and casting demonstration. As a climax, these enthusiastic outdoorsmen went on a fishing trip, where they applied their newly-gained knowledge. Newton's hammy set enioyed themselves greatly this year by transmitting and receiving, and by visiting radio and television stations. Once a week, a code class was held for members desiring to become amateur radio operators, and on Sundays there was a Radio Net at 8 P.M. on the Ten Meter Board. Some of the licensed members are these: WnlFWO, WIABN, WlBFM, and WnlGUS. The club call is WISCW. President ....................................... ........
