The eager, would-be thespians of Newton High School enjoyed an interesting year on and around the stage. Members of the Drama Club participated in many activities which furthered their knowledge and experience about the theater. The narration of Christmas Vespers, the sponsorship ot a one-act play festival, the annual theatre party, speakers, and dis- cussions were all a part of the club's busy program. Hollywood replacements. For the budding sophomore Helen Hayeses and the Laurence Oliviers the Neophytes Club provides an opportunity to act in one-act plays, skits, and even pantomimes. From the autumn tryouts to the Final spring meeting, this group promotes interest in dramatics of all kinds, ranging from the comic to the serious.
