Simmons Alpha Beta is the sophomore club which gives students a chance to try to perfect their abilities in the Fields oi Writing and drama. The monthly meetings of this miniature Tusitala or English Club were highlighted by critical dis- cussions oi the members, masterpieces oi creative writing, the dramatization oi a one-act play, and several readings. The members oi Alpha Beta en- joyed an entertaining and educational year and are loolcing forward to more of the same in Tusitala and the English Club next fall.

These people met for the sole purpose ol ex- perimenting ancl playing vvith numbers, from simple arithmetic to calculus. ln pursuit of their hobby, the members toolc a trip to Babson's lnstitute in Welles- ley ancl to the calculating machine at l-larvard. At one meeting Mr. Charles Mergandahl gave an in- teresting and informative tall4. Mathematics otlerecl both an invitation to fun and entertainment and a means ol becoming more proficient in the science ol numbers to members.
