Many people have helped to shape us into mature young men and women. To them we owe a big thank - you. Our yearbook is our last project of high school years, and in it we hope to show all of the facets of high school life. Memories will be brought back to us in years ahead by flipping through its pages. This yearbook is our gift to all who follow us and also to ourselves. fbeofcabbn We, the Class of 1966, would like to dedicate our yearbook to you, Mr. Alexander. Your friendly smile and willingness to help have been invaluable to us. We appre- ciate the manner in which you make learning an enjoyable experience for all. Your friendly influence will be remembered throughout the years. fbeofcahbzz We would also like to dedi- cate our yearbook to you, Dr. Bruno. In your two short years at Newport High School you have taught us two vital lessons. The first of these is persever- ance, and the second is that no matter how small a task may be, we must always strive to do our best. We appreciate all you have done for us. To the Class of 1966, It seems that each year's graduating class meets greater challenges as it attempts to find its place in an increasingly complex society. For each of you in the Class of 1966, this challenge becomes something very tangible as you struggle with the decision of which path will best lead to your goals. Your education to now has been but a prelude to the vast area of knowledge necessary to successfully ful- fill any job or meet prerequisites for an education beyond high school. Your realization of this will become more profound as you enter this next phase of your life. The Class of 1966 is next to the last to attend here under circumstances not unlike that of many similar high schools. During this next year students will witness an increased air of activity, anxiety, and perhaps even some confusion as plans become formulated for the union school. It is going to be up to each of you to con- tinue your interest in education as informed citizens and to be continually aware that a school's curriculum must be in a state of constant change if it is going to meet the needs of the youth of a community. I hope for each of you success in your endeavors as you strive for life's goals. H 5 E3 B Y 53 ENE Rim ff Ag flf' if ,f sg M ff gm M Q '7 'ffl ak L,A ix, I Wi.
