The play Norma Edgar Tom Caudill Rose Witte raldine Brewer lohn Knauer Everett Berger PLACEA-The entire action of the play takes place in the boys lounge of Mrs. Spangler's rooming house at Newfield College. TIME-Act l ll:00 o'clock in the morning Act ll 3:30 o'clock in the afiernoon Act lll 8:30 o'clock in the evening NOTES OF THE PLAY Mrs, Spangler keeps a roorning house at Newfield College. She says, "I never know if they're in or out, they come and go so fast you couldn't keep track of them if you were a paid spy." That's more true on the day before commencement for in addition to her regular college boys, their girls keep popping in and out, a few parents and an aunt shows up, and the "Prexy" and Professor Bean find cccasion to call several times. Then things happen! Spring fever has hit Newfield. lt's all fast and furious and funny with loud explosions every now and then, from Ed's lab for good measure and it all ends to everybody's satisfaction. Page 48 Using wide flanking movements, advances over the top, and taking to the air offensively Newport won a victory front Dixie l-leights, Ql to O, in their first game After this the enemy seemed to have heavier and 'petter tanks and artillery than our forces and so we lost valiantly to Ludlow 19 to U in a well fought game Playing the next game against the strong Vfestern Hills team Newport lost Z1 to O. The Vfildcats next entertained visitors from Madisonville and held them to l3 points while gathering 6 themselves. This al surprised everylzody, as Madisonville was fa Jored to win hy a large score. Following our good game against Madisonville we lost to Highlands by the lopsided score of 3l to U, and to Bellevue, l9 to O. The Ashland Torn' oats, playing host to our boys, gave us one of the worst beatings of the year 4l to U, but Newport cazne back in the next game to heat Dayton, G to U, in a hard fought battle.
