Coach DeSerio's charges led by twelve points throughout most of the second half, but with about two minutes of play remaining 1 ingry rallied to within four points of the red and black and afforded the spectators with a thrilling climax to an otherwise rather dull encounter. Lvnfortunately the season ended on a sour note. For the second straight year Newark Acadernx' met Delbarton in the finals of the Headmasters' and Coaches' Tournament. ln the bitter rivalry which exists between the two schools anything can happen and usually does. This game was no exception. Delbarton led throughout most of the first half but Newark managed to tie the score at intermission tirrre. ln the third period the red and black surged to a seven point lead. 'lihe Green Yvave fought back to lead by one point with less than two minutes remairrirrg. :ks the final hectic seconds ticked off, llelbarton managed to cling to the precarious lead. 'lihe final score was 41 to 37.
