L Cl1nmr'lIor HIC eighth chancellor of New York University, Chancellor Harry VVood- burn Chase was installed on July 1, 1933. Prior to his assumption of duties at New York University, he was president of the University of Illinois and before 1950, he was president of the University of North Carolina for eleven years. Q Since Chan- cellor Chase became associated with New York University, the institution has grown in strc11gtl1 and equipment, quality of per- sonnel, elhciency of service a11d in the in- tegration and vigor of its whole program. A HUlIllJCl' of new buildings were con- structed, a11d important IICWV departments added. The general budget system of the university was reorganized and the libraries in several divisions brought under unified control. Dr. Chase has coordinated the admission processes under central super-
