So might go an underclassmatfs daily schedule. And then-senior year and freedom. This freedom. tem- pered by responsibility. was bestowed upon seniors this year by Student Council and allowed them liberation from confining study halls along with a chance to decide for themselves how to spend their free time. Under Senior Responsibility. a senior could go to the cafeteria for group study during his free periods. Or he could go to a quiet study hall or to the student lounge to talk. listen to music. and get a drink from the newly- installed Coke machine. This plan was so successful that a Junior Extension Plan was proposed by Student Council. ln addition. 'liri-Ship's service groups such as Ticket Committee and Usher Corps continued to serve at many school and town- ship allairs. principalli performing arts activities and sporting events, There were sexeral successful innoxations this year. The Christmas tree sale. an entirely new venture. was well-received by the community. and will undoubtedly he repeated next year. ln addition. rep meetings were in- creased to two weekly to augment student participation. By combining willingness to change with worthwhile new programs. Tri-Ship kept pace with New Trier's stu- dent body. Lfslier Corpsnian.
