Y' . 7 LV Y... ,J . .h ' I I, L p12CJPHECY 9 flL The sun was slowly sinking behind the trees and the darkness was creeping through the little valley below the overhead bridge where an old man with thin graylng hair sat gazing intently into a crystal ball seeking mformation concernmg his 18 faithful semors who had graduated 30 years ago in 1951 He leaned eagerly forward his hands gripping tightly the precious ball as he peered more closely and wanted with baited breath for news of that first senior class he spon sored Slowly faintly at first but gradually becoming clear andvivid there passed before his eyes a panoroma of varied scenes First to emerge was Kenneth Barnard a mere shadow of his former pounds pick mg corn inthe fields of the county infirmary his own farming business having sadly collapsed There now comes into view Albert Bowles proudly surveying a large shipment of old cars to add to the vast store of materials he lns already collected which have earned for him the title of the most prosperous Junk dealer in the State of Indiana Mary Ann Branson is seen busy at her work as chief soda Jerk of the New Palestme Drug Store which she finally bought after working there for years Patty Dickey appears entermg her suite of offices at the Dickey Bird Insane Asylum where all the patients feel right at home Edythe Dugan with the splendid help of her 10 boys is operating a popular resort on The familiar picture of his efficient bookkeeper next comes into view Again he thinks What would I do without Judy Fair to do the enormous amount of bookkeeping necessary on the management of my million dollar estate acquired with my saving from my teacher s salary? Walter Henderson is seen interviewing a group of charming young ladies seeking positions with the Lone Wolf Modeling Agency which he owns and personally operates The bright lights of Broadway flash the name of the comedian Berme Nichols appearing in Producer Tom Tegge s Hit The Jackpot radio quiz program The scene shifts to the blue grass valley of Kentucky where Muriel Herron, the owner of a bl horse ranch is groommg Bunny III for the Kentucky Derby Proudly stepping from the dressing room of the Lazy L gymnasium is that former Dragon now famous basketball player on the Half Wits Team Dave Johnston with Norman Woodworth his coach Lois Homsher comes lopmg into view sole owner of the largest all cow ranch in the U S She s out on a tour of her 200 000 acre ranch He next sees in a luxurious office seated at a large desk a dark haired girl Patricia Webb who is busily engaged in making out her income tax reports on her chain of 100 Regal Stores throughout the state Clyde Stapp 8: Frances Munsey are seen in conference They are considermg a merger of their individually owned Freckle Cream Removing Industries after 30 years of better business rivalry On a quiet side street on a porch almost hidden by a screen of vmes he sees Blanche Harvey and Ruth Leach quietly rocking back and forth in their old rocking chairs They have finally given up their pursuit of the men and are runmng the Harvey Leach Happy Holiday Old Maids Home As the last faces fade from view in the crystal ball, Mr Wilson releases his grasp on the ball and wlth a smile of complete satisfaction slowly climbs the stairs to retire for the night saying I can he down to pleasant dreams They have not failed me a fine class a mighty fine class' 'la ck , . . . . . - ' 7 l 1 - v ' ' 1 , ,, . .
