CLASS HISTORY The first elected officers of the class of 1970 were chosen in our Freshman year. Election results were: President, Alan Harbaughg Vice-President, Wendy War- reng Secretary, Linda Brown, Treasurer, Darlene Deardorff. Mrs. Alice Hoffman accepted the post of class advisor. We sponsored one dance, "Kind of a Drag." Sophomore officers changed to: President, Tom Cutshallg Vice-President, Wendy Warren, Secretary, Linda Brown, Treasurer, Susan Spicer, and a new offi- cer, HistoriangJoan Walker. At the Sadie Hawkins' Dance, we presented Marryin' Sam and the Hitchin' Post. Our dance, "Mistle Toe and Holly," featured the Bad- strands Blues Band. Busy was our Junior year and officers: President, Susan Spicer, Vice-President, Tom Cutshallg Secretary, Wendy Warren, Treasurer, Joan Walker, andHistorian, Linda Brown, had their work cut out. Again we sponsored the Sadie Hawkins' Hitchin' Post. Our two dances featured the Mudd College. The Junior Play, "Nine Coaches Waiting" was a three act mystery set in a French Chateau. The cast num- bered 9 not including the dog, Bambi, the student director and director. Mr. John Hain, director, received a plaque and a yo-yo in appreciation for his efforts. Our Junior and Senior Prom, "Grecian Splendor," featured The Boys in the Band and was reigned over by Queen Paula Rondeau and King Tom Fissel. We reluctantly said goodbye to Mrs. Hoffman, but we were glad that Miss Mary Jane Thompson consented to fill her place. Student council election results at the end of our Junior year were: Linda Brown, Presidentg Lyne Millar, Vice-President, Susan Spicer, Secretary, and Joan Walker, Treasurer. Senior Officers: President, Tom Cutshallg Vice-President, Alan Harbaughg Secretary, Joyce Livingston, Treasurer, Elizabeth Troutmang and Historian, Pam Stock, co-ordinated such activities as our first dance. Soul Explosion featured Soul'd Out. We changed to comedy in "Off the Track" which had a cast of 13 and an animal section which consisted of Bambi and Gladys fa birdj. Mrs. Mary E. Worley directed and was presented with an engraved brooch. In a gruelling Powder Puff football game the Senior girls downed the underclassmen. A vote by the en- tire class elected Lyne Millar as the recipient of the DAR Award. With the end of this year we look forward to our lives as responsible citizens and backward at the wonderful days at N.O.H.S. Respectfully submitted Pam Stock Class Historian CHARLES R. The work that we did to accomplish the things We can't be content with yesterday's glories. That made our lives worthwhileg We must make a success of today. Times that are gone like fingers of mist The future is ours. We are tomorrow. That are lost before a wind. We face it with hope and trust. 13 Q 1 W,, g?Wf1 .. ii I ' Y -4- 2 'ff' isa 1 'S l f Wh .iw I W gg, U mmm 'ig , 5 ' GE I M' ..,.........,w...,.... , my ,W wwrf, , A A ,Q ,.5., . ws , 1iGf 53 3 mg J . -: if 'QQ' 'fgglff W A rf Qi 1 mi, - --.N -3 ... shag! .51 ,FK R -Q il, s , fs? -Z w X.. if 1 322 . 4 - 1- Ji 5 V ' HA,-cf 54 . .. 6 -an Y I Lg. f, .Q L Q 'il .1 :Q ,Je '9 5 4 , 'Q :- J X .12 DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION LYNE MILLAR AWARDS JUNIOR MISS REPRESENTATIVE SUSAN SPICER 4 ri -A ji H P F' UNDERCLASSMEN , 1' .
