X OLUME XXIX Publ shed by THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1953 NEW LONDON HIGH SCHOOL New London Ohio "'7!w WdJcd" jar Memmiam Mr Edglngton We the Class of l953 dedicate thus page of our yearbook to the memory of Mr Russell Edward Edglngton father of Russell Lee New London s senlor fullback and Wnllnam also a football player Last September whale engaged In repanr work for the Northern Ohlo Telephone Company Mr Edglngton suffered the accndent which cost has llfe A native of Cardmgton Ohlo Mr Edgnngton served as manager of the telephone companys branch at New London for seven years Six months prlor to hus death he became manager of the facnlltres at Oberlun Before comlng to New London Russ as he was known to has many f r 1 en d s served as assistant manager for the company ln Wlllard A sports enthusiast himself Mr Edgnngton was well known un this area as a baseball and softball umpire He never massed a basketball or football game not only be ause he received a great satisfaction from seeing has sons play but also because he loved any klnd of athletic contest He was very actuve un fund ralslng campaigns for the school and was always wlllung to help the school In any way he could With thus memorlam we wash to honor not only Mr Edglngton for hlsgnterest and service to the school and our class but also all parents and friends who have glven heavily of thenr time and energy to help us In all of our school actnvntues P Q 0 I I W ' I I I . . .
