LEXINGTONIAN CHEERLEADERS Eileen Poling, Ruth Poling, Bertha Ann Goodin, and Marjorie Ervin were cheerleaders in the third and fourth years. Kenneth Potter, who now lives in Hereford, Texas, helped Eileen and Marjoriein the second year. The girls conf tributed much to the success of the teams in the last year. Through hard work they organized a cheering section that was a real success. In our opinion they deserve much credit for the wins that the team came through with this year and other years They have composed many new cheers Flat foot floogie with a floy Hoy Bo bo ske waten doten wa doten SH' We want a basket boy' boy' Bo bo ske waten doten wa doten SH' Are we gonna get it" 'I ,S ' lskey bittely ittely bittely You re doggone right Islcey bittely oten doten New Lex New Lex ight fight iight' Bo bo ske waten doten wa doten SH' YEA NEW LEX ' ' ALMA MATER O Let your voice in anthem raise Our Alma Mater we must praise Her memories we hold most dear Orange and Black we proudly cheer And as the years go swiftly by We will revere thee New Lex High Hail' Our school so strong and fair In fame none can compare lN IisA1lflUixALb, first on the program the toumament being won by Leo De Pintos well captained team These games proved to be of great interest to students who had nothing to do during the noon hour Basketball this year was very exciting Most games were won by a few points Eugene Palmers team provided the toughest compet1t1on for any of them Palmers team came from behind to take the champ1onship Members of the team were as follows Dick Wright Bill McNamee Martin Wollenberg Charles Tnona Eugene Palmer and the two subs Charles Noce and Arthur Snyder The program was well managed by Coach Relchley and Senior Manager Harold Fowler Much credit belongs to these two for the success of the 1ntramurals The girls intramural program was not yet finished at the time the annual went to press so lt is impossible to give any facts on that part of the 1ntramural activities Page 'I' Ucnty nine ' V - . -I 1 A n I v - fi P I fx I The intramural program this year created more enthusiasm than ever before.
