However, we did wind up with a ten win and nine loss record. Considering the insufficient height and lack of ex-v perience this record is not too bad. In the county league we were fortu- nate to pull through to win two of five games. - Twenty-four

Janice Aufderhaar Mr. Carl Fnsche, Director SECOND ROW- Willis Telliohann, Joann Kettler The New Knoxville School Marching Band had a member- ship ot forty-nine this year. Some members also played in the Concert Band or in the Junior Band. This is the sixth year that Mr. Carl Frische has been the capable director of our band. Last summer the band gave a fine outdoor concert at Ranger Field. The band also took part in the activities at the Auglaize County Fair, the Ohio State Fair, and Wapakoneta's Halloween Festival. At the Wapakoneta St. Joseph basketball game the band gave another fine performance. At Christmas the band participated in a combined band and chorus concert and then gave its annual spring concert in March.

The first evening the Rangers met Lakeview and downed them 65-57 while Botkins defeated Marion Twp. 38-36. The second evening the two losers met in the early game, Lakeview winning 60-48. The winners vied for the Championship in the finalle and the Rangers won by a score of 46-31. Both the Rangers and Botkins received tro- phies. 65-NK LAKEVIEW 57 New Knoxville drew a bye in the same bracket as the League Champs, New Bremen. New Bremen defeated Buckland the first night and then ad- vanced to the Rangers and defeated them 75-55. This game closed the basket- ball career for the four boys of the class of 57. 46-NK BOTKINS 31 55-NK NEW BREMEN Twenty-five 75
