X-7 DIVISIDN The Command Religious Program seeks to meet the spiritual, emotional, and personal needs of crewmembers and their families. Chaplains, CDR Kennedy and LT Melley, minister to the Protestant and Catholic congregations. The chaplains are assisted in their daily activities by a team of Religious Program Specialists. Religious Lay Readers assisted the chaplains in providing ministry for our Mormon and Jewish crewmembers. Daily counseling, delivering RED CROSS messages, visiting sick bay and Religious Education all form part of the chaplainfsydaily rounds. CDR Kennedy LT Melley lg RP3 Slack types and mans the desk in the chaplains office. Chaplain Kennedy leads the congregation in singing Our Father Strong to Save. RPSN Ehrman reshelves a book in the ships library. RPSN Biazon logs in some computer time. L V, 3
