A Tiger is a dependent or guest of a crewman who rides the ship from' the last port to the ship's homeport. 256 tigers on any small ship would have been a catastrophe but not on New Jersey. We just moved over and made room for them. LTJG Polk and son share the sights of being at sea from the bridge. We carefully thread our way through the channel as Senior Chief Wright pays his respects to our fallen comrades.
