As we enter Pearl Harbor the crew comes to attention to render honors to the deceased sailors aboard the USS Arizona. The sun shines brightly in the cloudless sky yet a sense of reverence is felt by all. CAPT Katz llVledical Corpsl the senior man and MSSR Moreno, the junior man aboard, standby to cast a wreath into the bay. A marine rifle squad stands ready to fire a volley.

MXH R, ,gg L' RXXXWRHXNA' YNY. Rigging the quarterdeck awning is a lot easier in the pleasant morning hours as we proceed into Pearl Harbor. Maybe BM3 Choate and SN Dingler would agree. Sailors line up at parade rest on a turret. The ship's band plays portside turret two. LCPL Costa and LCPL Fenstermaker remain ever vigilant to danger. Australia tell from view on the horizon as we headed for open ocean. There is much work to do to insure that we look our best for homecoming. After almost four months, we are ready to get home, but first a brief stop in Pearl I-larbor. We don't have time to do as much as we would like to in Hawaii, but that,s OK. We know we'll be home soon
