The division provides technical assistance, requisition validation, cosal support, and open purchase support. While deployed, the 25 men of the division processed approximately 3855 receipts and made 2280 issues. 134 S-2 DIVISION ?77 Visitors often ask, HI-Iow do you feed everyone Simple enough . . . one at a time. The food service division operates four galleys on board. The Flag Cabin Mess, Wardroom, CPO Mess, and the General Mess. We do it all - cooking, serving, and even the dishwashing. Underway the Battleship's seventy mess management specialists lcooksl feed three meals a day plus midrats. A total of 4500 meals. That's enough milk, bread, and eggs to feed the average family of four for one year. Of course, 1500 hungry sailors want something tasty to eat with their milk and thatis where our bake shop comes into play. Working around the clock, the bakers provide the crew with delicious chocolate chip cookies, fresh bread, breakfast pastries and much much more. What we love to do most of all is throw a party. Whether it's a steel beach picnic on the fantail, the monthly birthdayfre-enlistment luncheon or one of the many receptions for our distinguished guests - we do it first class.
