Clark, Commander Seventh Fleet, transferred his Flag from the U.S.S. Missouri to the U.S.S. New Jersey. A part of the United States Pacific Fleet, the Seventh Fleet comprises the Navy's major operational forces in the Western Pacific, concentrated chiefly in Korean waters. It's units include many United Nations vessels. Major components of the Seventh Fleet are Fast Carrier Task Force 77, the United Nations Blockading and Escort Force QTask Force 955, the Logistic Support Force fTask Force 925 and the Formosa Force CTask Force 725.
