See those long, bright, red socks coming' down the hall, that's she. You can find her in the middle of a group of students, calling each and everyone of them VVhitey and doing' some- thing' funny to make them laugh. As a commercial student, Sandra is prep'-ring' to be a stenographer. Hers will be an interesting' future-a lot of fun, and a lot of friends. She plays a trumpet in the band and is a member of the alto section of the chorus. Attending' District and State Chorus were high- lights of her school years. Thelma joined our class in the Senior year, coming from Salisbury. A roller skating' fan, she frequently finds time to pursue her favorite sport. Thelma hopes to continue teaching' piano to her pupils after graduation and continue with music as a hobby. Circulation Manager 143 filischievous, clown, prankstcrfthcsc are all adjectives that well describe Maxie. lt has been said by the commercial students that with- out Maxie, it is a dull day. To be idle is not one of Sylvia's traits, for she always has some task to perform. She serves as editor of the Town Clock News and engages in many other activities, both at school and at church. Her ambition for the future is to enter Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. As our high-stepping drum majorette she sparked the high school band with her baton twirling abilities and able leadership. Lou: goes by the slogan, a day without laughter is ill spent. Though she attended five years at New Holland High School, her sophomore and junior years were spent at Camp Lcjune, North Carolina. Lou is planning a career as an airline hostess. Ted Robert Simmons July 27, 1937 Ted Salisbury: Chorus 11,213 Film Staff 11,21 New Holland: Yearbook Business Stall' 141 Unlike most redheads, Ted has no violent temper. His even disposition has marked him as one of the most genial lads of our class. Ted came to New Holland from Salisbury in our Junior year. To enforce the laws of Pennsylvania will be Ted's duty when he fulfills his ambition to become a state policeman after graduation from New Holland High School. Page 'T e n

Sports represent the main interest of his life and he participated in soccer, basketball and baseball while in school. Much of his spare time is spent working in his father's grocery store. Ronnie plans to further his education at King's Col- lege, Delaware, where he will major in business adminis- tration. Hunting Junie, you might see his sun-gold Chevrolet at the fire hall or find him home in bed. When there is work to be done, he is nowhere to be found. Earls plans to enter Duke University with the object of being a pediatrician. folm Lightner Wagner September 18, 1937 Jack Chorus 149, Manager 1195 Film Staff 13,49 John is one of the 27 seniors who have climbed the entire twelve rungs of the educational ladder in the New Holland Schools. As the son of our fire chief, Jack has a natural in- terest m firefighting. His daily habitat is the local fire hall.
