Much of her time is spent tooting her licorice stick in the band, for one of her greatest interests is music. Marian plans to enter nurses training after graduation, and her pleasing manner should carry her far in her chosen career. Patty showed her acting ability in both productions of the class plays. Hockey took up most of her time in the field of sports, and the cheerleading squad was fired by her enthusiasm for two years. Patty plans to attend college and major in physical education. Vernon Lee Ream August 22, 1937 Ream Tennis 12,3,-135 Soccer 11,2,3,43g Soccer Co-Captain 143 Possessing a car, Vernon whittles away his time rolling over the roads in search of new excitement of which he never fails to be in the midst. Many might doubt the statement that Vernon is the safest driver in school. As co-captain of the 1535-1 soccer team he led the team to cop the county championship laurels. Thomas Edward Miller November 23, 1937 Tom Salisbury: Basketball 135g Band 11,2,35g Chorus 1353 Senior Play 135, Baseball 11,255 County Chorus 135g Class Treasurer 12,35 Tall and silent, with an engaging smile, Tom adopted our school as the scene of his final year of high school. Although his favorite pastimes seem to be sleeping and driving, Tom works in a greenhouse when not attending school. Hillbilly music is also a source of enjoyment to him. Working will be Tom's occupation after graduation, but as to what and where, he is not positive. William Ralph Pennock, fr. Bill is also an ardent reader of the latest books and periodicals. He spends many hours organizing and partici- pating in church activities. To be a minister is Bill's goal in life and he hopes to enter college after graduation. Always a busy girl, Dot can be seen supporting her school teams both as a cheerleader and a fullback on the hockey team. To be idle is not one of Sylvia's traits, for she always has some task to perform. She serves as editor of the Town Clock News and engages in many other activities, both at school and at church. Her ambition for the future is to enter Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. As our high-stepping drum majorette she sparked the high school band with her baton twirling abilities and able leadership. Lou: goes by the slogan, a day without laughter is ill spent. Though she attended five years at New Holland High School, her sophomore and junior years were spent at Camp Lcjune, North Carolina. Lou is planning a career as an airline hostess. Ted Robert Simmons July 27, 1937 Ted Salisbury: Chorus 11,213 Film Staff 11,21 New Holland: Yearbook Business Stall' 141 Unlike most redheads, Ted has no violent temper. His even disposition has marked him as one of the most genial lads of our class. Ted came to New Holland from Salisbury in our Junior year. To enforce the laws of Pennsylvania will be Ted's duty when he fulfills his ambition to become a state policeman after graduation from New Holland High School. Page 'T e n
