His jovial personality and sincere interest in others have won him many friends. Although his interests center mainly in the realm of sports, he is also very musically inclined. lim has proven his ath- letic ability in both basketball and soccer, having played on those squads for three years. He has also played a trombone in the school band and sung in the Senior Chorus during his entire high school career. After graduation lim plans to work in a local industry and then join the navy. We feel sure that he will prosper in any field he chooses. She has shown her cooperativeness by always lending a helping hand to others. Whenever there is laughter, Ginny is quite possibly there, joining in the fun. She is popular with all her classmates. She considers her iob so enjoyable as to be her hobby. Yes, being a telephone operator may be rather exacting at times, but it's a lot of fun. Editorial Staff 13,415 Band 1413 Student Council 1417 Senior Chorus 13,41 Class Treasurer 13,41 Harold is one of the quieter members of our class. For the past two years he has been our very capable class treasurer. Also, few of us will forget his fit scene in the Senior Play, in which he played the part of Bob . Bud has many interests. He began playing the saxo- phone last summer, and is already a member of the school band. He also possesses an excellent bass voice, which he puts to good use in the Senior Chorus. For eight years he has been very interested in weather forecasting. In fact, he is often consulted by his associates for weather predictions. After graduation he would like to study meteorology at Pennsylvania State College in order to become a professional weatherman. jay Marlin Hillaraf November 27, 1933 lack Soccer 13,41 lack came to New Holland as a freshman in 1947, after completing eight years of schooling at Greenbank. lf there is laughter in the classroom when everyone else is quiet, you can be sure it is lack just catching on to the latest joke. His favorite pastime is hunting . . . especially deer hunting. lack has shown his athletic ability by playing on the soccer team for the past two years. His main ambition is to be a carpenter. He is planning to enter Stevens Trade School next fall in order to take up this work. We certainly feel sure, lack , that you will be of great service in that vocation. Associate Shirl is one of our more popular, ambitious classmates. She takes advantage of the opportunities offered by the school by participating in all the activities she possibly can. She is very sports minded, having played on the girls' basketball and hockey teams As Mrs. Agnes Martin in our Sen or Play she displayed a considerable amount of dramatic She has worked on the Town Clock News Editorial Staff throughout her high school days, and in her senior year became Shirl has a cheerful personality which has contributed to her popularity with everyone she knows. She is a native of Goodville, and her cheerful manner has won her many friends in New Holland High. She is truly one of the class musicians, being a capable pianist, and also a talented alto member of the Senior Chorus. Basketball is Peg's favorite sport. She played on the girls' basketball team for two years, and also enjoys attending all varsity games. Baseball also holds her interest. Peggy has served on the Corridor Patrol for two years. After graduation she intends to enter the business world as an office worker. With her ability, we know Peg will at- tain all her goals. C
