Shirley is well-liked by all who know her, and she is con- sidered a diligent student. She joined our group in ninth grade as a newcomer from Churchtown. In addition to her many activities, which include member- ship in the Senior Chorus, Shirley enjoys playing baseball, which is her favorite sport. She is calm and courteous at all times. These and other favorable characteristics are immense assets in all her en- deavors. After graduation Shirley would like to become a nurse. Her capabilities are many tor this humane occupation. Brighten the Corner Where You Are seems to be Fletch's motto. No matter how complicated life becomes, Shirley is always ready with a cheerful remark. . Having entered New Holland High as a freshman from Beartown, she has spent tour years with us, constantly making new friends. Shirley's spare time is spent just having fun . After graduation, Fletch plans to get a secretarial posi- tion in a business office. Her commercial training has ably pre- pared her tcr the business world. Barry Eugene Eitnier june l4, 1933 Eitnier Basketball Cl,2,3,4lp Soccer Cl,2,3,4Dg Film Staff ll,2,3,4l: Chef Club C41 Barry is one of the twenty-six students of our class who began his school days in Miss Bender's first grade. Having chosen basketball as his favorite sport he has play- ed that game throughout his high school career. He was on the junior High squad in ninth grade. The next two years found him playing on the junior varsity team. The varsity received this energetic guard during our senior year. Eitnier has also been a member of the Film Staff. When- ever movies are shown, he is behind the projector with a cap- able hand. entering the armed forces. Harriet Elizabeth Ewell August 30, l933 Harriet Senior Chorus Cl,3,4J: Basketball 43,435 Class Secretary C375 Patrol C3,4l: Leoninus Business Staff f4l. With a pencil in one hand and a notebook in the other, Harriet has acted as the secretary for the Senior class and the School Patrol in her junior and Senior years. Entering the Class of '51 from Blue Ball four years ago, this lass brought with her a package of personality, dependability and initiative all wrapped up, until recently, in a familiar dark blue 1946 Pontiac. ln the junior and Senior years, Harriet added to her in- terest in sports by playing on the girls' basketball team. Har- riet also enjoys the fine arts as shown from the fact that while a Freshman, junior and Senior, she was a member of the Senior Chorus. Although uncertain about her future, Harriet expressed the desire to act as a secretary for a business firm. We know that she will be an asset to any concern she serves. As editor-in-chief of the T.C.N., he has spent many laborious hours working on our school newspaper. His dependability, initiative, courteous manner, and coop- erativeness have won him many friends. As a member of the School Patrol, he has held various offices. lournalism predominates in Arby's future plans. He plans to attend college and major in that field. We know that his writing ability will assure him proper recognition in the news- paper world. Lawd save us! Yes, that was Marge ably portraying Begonia , the colored maid, in the Senior Play. Margaret joined us in our senior year from a New York City school. This lively lass has varied interests. She thoroughly en- joys singing, and is a member,of the soprano section of the Sen- ior Chorus. Her favorite sports are swimming and skating. Marge spends many spare hours listening to classical recorded music.
