Mrs. Kneller also conducts all girls' physical education classes. Miss Mary A. Harsh fG1'ade 41 Millersville State Teachers College As an elementary school instructor, Miss Mary A. Harsh has presented her pupils with an educational background that has served as a strong foundation for additional knowledge. Experience obtained through years of teaching, has enabled Miss Harsh to give practical instruction to her students. Through the tol- erant, patient efforts which Miss Harsh employs in guiding her classes, all of her students have certainly benefited from her teaching. Mrs. Anna S. Diller fGrade 51 Millersville State Teachers College Mrs. Anna Diller, our fifth grade teacher, claims she enjoys teaching that particular age group because those students are at a very interesting age. She believes that without departmental work, she can better keep in close contact with the problems of her pupils. Her hobbies include flower gardening, which she enjoys through- out the year. Mrs. Diller also enjoys water color and Pennsylvania Dutch painting. - 5 we jacuhy -5-i Mr. Sigurd Sandberg fGrade 5-GJ Muhlenberg College Kutztown State Teachers College Mr. Sundberg is a new addition to the elementary teaching staff. He loves to have fun, and he can frequently be seen participat- ing in games with his students. His cordial manner has won him the respect of all his pupils. Miss Hefen B. Fcnninger fGrade 65 Millersville State Teachers College Miss Fenninger will long be remembered by many students as one of their favorite teachers. She has faithfully taught the sixth grade for many years. Before coming to New Holland, Miss Fenning- er taught at a rural school in Earl Township. In her spare time she enjoys fiowers .and artwork. Miss Gloria Picrsol fArtJ Kutztown State Teachers College 'Miss Ifiersol. is a graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College, having majored in art while at that school. This is her third year in the teaching profession. Her iirst year was spent at Demer, Pennsylvania, and her second year at Ocean City, New Jersey. Although she has been with us only one year, her proficiency in art has been appreciated by all. Mr. Robert P. Simon fScienceJ Penn State Mr. Simon is a very busy faculty member. In addition to teach- ing' the natural sciences, he teaches algebra and has charge of the athletic managers, film staff, and science club. Outside of school, he takes a very active part in Boy Scout work. He serves as Scoutmaster of the local Troop. Mr. Simon has done much to improve our school during his years with us. Sf.. SIM, Mr. Richard Stockton Kliealth and Physical Educationj Temple University Mr. Stockton came to New Holl-and from Temple University this year, to teach boys' health and physical education. His main interests are dancing, swimming and diving, tumbling, and most other sports. Mr. Stockton heads the school patrol and coaches the Junior High basketball team. Mr. William K. Swackhamer 1MusicJ West Chester State Teachers College Mr. Swackhamer is New Holland High's talented music super- visor. A graduate of West Chester State Teachers College, he ma- jored in music.
