:Liiif A by r HEL -.,,,,,xg,.ff,,-, .,g,giig-ff-N Xlffllaf foan Rosalie Marfzn August 28 1932 Joan Glee Club f2,3,4J. What was Voganville's loss was New Holland's gain. Yes, Joan entered our class in the ninth grade, and brought with her a great sense of humor. As her informal shot indicates, she can frequently be seen driving her so-called car, This Bucket-of-bolts always gets her to her destination, although sometimes some unforseen things may arise. Although Joan has not been an active participant in school organizations, she has been a loyal supporter of their programs. Her plans for the post-graduation period are still being formulated. foyce Anne Marfzn June fi, 1933 Jovce Salisbury: Secretary C235 Sen- ior Plav 1355 Yearbook Staff 1313 Minstrel f2,3J. Joyce is a newcomer to the class, after attending Salisbury for eleven years. Her quiet mannerisms and her shy disposition have kept her out of trouble in many Ways, but this does not keep her from expressing her opinions, Home Economics takes up quite a bit of Joyce's time and interest, but she may be seen quite often skating at a nearby roller-skating rink. Joyce has no special plans for the future, but there is no doubt that as a diligent worker, she will be a real credit to any career. ' AfL.,,i,,,:1-i. ,.,,, fiww, .Page Twenty-seven few' Y 4 - K -f

f QL 1 Anna Mary Martin August 22, 1932 uAnna Glee Club Q1,2,3Jg Leoninus Business Staff f4J. Anna is the quiet, little blonde of the class, who is a swell friend to everyone, for she is con- scientious, industrious and reserved, yet always willing to help. From Gordonville, Anna joined our class in the sixth grade, to continue the long, hard climb to graduation. Cooking and baby-sitting are the main interests of this little lady. Her scholastic ability in the commercial field is something' to be proud of. No one's a better whiz at shorthand than Anna, and some day we know, she'll make someone a very efficient secretary. Horace Marlin Martin June 23, 1931 H. K. Glee Club 11,2,3,4lg Film Staff 11,435 Leoninus Business Staff UU: T.C.N. Business Staff' 47133 County Chorus MD. Horace was also a competent member of the Glee Club and was a member of the County Chorus this year. Although H, K? took the general course, his quiet, pleasant ways will g'o far towards success in any job. fri' Y f f ' Piqe 'Twenty-six '1 A ' ' ' f

Betty is the flashing redhead of the class, with a captivating smile. She attended the Voganville School before coming to New Holland. Betty is interested in home economics, and may often be seen preparing food or making a dress . . . and what good results she does produce! During Betty's pastime, we may find her ice-skating at her special pond, or in summer . . . swim- ming . . . about which she has stated, I love it. However, this is not her only pastime. Her social life may be summarized as . . . a lot of pep . . . a lot of friends, and a lot of good times. Betty's plans for the future are uncertain, but we feel it will be a promising one. Lillian Mae McMinn December 21, 1932 Lillian That giggle over in yonder corner probably belongs to l.illian. She came from Parkesburg, and she joined our class in the tenth grade. No roller-skating party would be complete without Lillian, for that seems to be her favorite pastime. She has been majoring' in home economics, and has proven herself to be quite a capable lass to have around the house. An interesting future certainly awaits one who is so proficient in the practical and domestic arts. -- Y ff- - - Page Twenty-eight --V V -V7 Y
