fi Q1 -. H ,, 4 ' '-:J Samuel fofm Hornzng September 3, 1932 Hornmg Baseball 13,45 Goodville's contribution to the class of '50 entered the halls of N.H.H.S. in ninth grade, and since that time has gained many friends. Horning, the strong, silent type, has had little time for extra-curricular activities, being kept busy by his Job in the Goodville post office, where he has been employed for the past few years. Never- theless, Sam has been able to lend his talents to the local baseball team, indicating his keen interest in sports. t Undecided as to his future, Horning's understanding and amicable ways, coupled with his win- ning' smile, tab him a can't miss in any post graduation career he might choose. Dania' Barton fforsf March 22, 1932 Dave This tall, curly-haired lad entered the halls of New Holland High School in our Freshman year. Al- though Dave isn't often heard, he is certainly well-liked by all who know him. Dave is a whiz on skates, for roller skating is one of his favorite sports. He is also a very good table tennis player and can compete with the best in this sport. After graduation Dave has no definite plans in view as to what field he will enter, but our best wishes will follow him in everything he undertakes. gfln - mv , Page Twenty-three --'---------Q -- ----Aw-----,f---1T-,---w-

'ua .--1 X Raymona' Marlin Hoover December 14 1932 Hoover Salisbury High School Raymond, along with two other Salisbury pupils, entered New Holland High School as a senior in the class of '50. He has a reserved look that conceals his good humor and zest for living. Hoover recently won recognition as a reader of many good books. Studying takes up a great deal of his time. His leisure hours are spent practicing difficult skating routines at Sinking Springs Rink every Tuesday night. Farm life is in Hoover's blood and he is considering the study of forestry. Good luck to our ranger. Irene Gooa' Horning August 27, 1932 Renee Student Council 143, Leoninus Business Stai UU, Student Li- brarian f3,4Dg Glee Club 417. Irene is the poet of our class, and her poems are very frequently found in The Town Clock News. As the student librarian her pleasant smile and willingness to help in finding a book have won her many admirers who say a more genuine and unpretentious friend can't be found. Irene is a capable commercial student, and has shown her ability as the general manager of the Leoninus Business Staff. With her ability, pleasant smile, and friendliness, Irene is the embodiment of what a perfect secretary should be. Y, - Y WY- 'Y 3 Page Twenty-two V ----H -,-- f- ------W

Silence is Golden, is believed by this shy, easy-going lassie. Even though she doesn't have too much to say, she is usually ready with the right answer when called upon. . The opposite sex is of no interest to Elva at the present time, for her chief interests lie in read- ing. Elva attended Western School before joining us in the freshman year. She has no immediate am- bitions for the future but her accomplishments will probably be in the line of secretarial work. t u Robert Leroy Howe January 3, 1933 Bob Glee Club f1,2l. Coming' to New Holland from Centerville, Bob brouirht with him a most novel set of charac- teristics. His short stature is in no way a semblance to the amount of vigor he shows when attending any basketball or baseball games. Bob is a master of repartee and wit. Bob will in all probability follow the occupation of his father who owns and operates the Lan- caster County Swiss Cheese Company. If past achievements hold the least significance, he is certainly headed in the right direction. ---W ---T 7-1,-11 5 Page Twenty-four 3 5
