At first glance, one gets the impression that Norm is quiet and modest, but looks are deceiving. His pleasing personality and politeness have won the friendship of many here in New Holland. In The Unseen Way, he played an exciting role as a shady butler. He also has two Salisbury plays to his credit. Flying is Norm's main interest, and his greatest ambition is to attend an aviation school. Margaret Erma Flo Sandoe July 7, 1931 Sandy Glee Club 1115 Chorus 12,3,4Jg T. C. N. Business Staff 143. Sandy traveled the rough road from New Holland Route 2, to Join our class in her freshman year. Her favorite pastime is talking, and evidence of this is found early in the mornings in Room 8. Sandy has a pleasing soprano voice, and it can often be heard ringing clearly from the shower room. After graduation she hopes to be an eHicient secretary. The 1 best of luck is our wish for you.

Although he was set back for two years be- cause of illness, he has won the admiration of teachers and pupils by not giving up, and he has come through with good marks. His pleasing personality has gained him many friends. Although he does not participate in any sports, he is a great rooter, and he seldom misses a game, whether it be basketball, baseball, or soccer. Clarence has not yet decided what he will do after gradua- tion, but he seems to be inclined toward i'lorist's work. This tall, slim lad can be frequently seen participating in a heated discussion as to who is going in win the pennant or World Series. During his four years at New Holland, Slim contributed his bit to the baseball team by playing center iield. Slim is looking forward to a career of butchering at his father's meat market. , w

Fred, a local boy, has been an active member of our class since We first entered the halls of N. H. H. S. His attractive grin has won him many friends. Fred has proved that many teachers really have patience, for he has given them plenty of pranks and tricks to cope with. Although he does not play on the high school basketball team, he is quite good at sports. He has also showed athletic ability by his participation on the soccer team. Fred expects to join the navy after graduation. Even on the dreariest day, Betty has a cherry smile for every' one. She has an intriguing hobby of collecting special remem- brances from parties which she has attended. In her spare time she does much reading. She has developed quite a skill in sewing and other handicrafts. At the roller skating parties, the race is never complete without Betty. She's a real whiz, for she has plenty of practice. A faithful housewife will be her vote in the future.
