V Chatter, chatter, as you probably have guessed, here comes Betty . . . just a few remarks before the last bell. Betty's marks and genuine personality give her an honorable position on the Student Council. Her ambition is to become a medical secretary. Her interests and activities are varied, including' the violin, senior play, and class secretary. Betty's humor and quick wits have kept many a party alive. 4 Betty, your personality is priceless, and the envy of many. 1 Donald Weaver Martin June 9, 1931 Don Basketball 12,3,41g Baseball 11,2,3,41g Track 11,213 Soccer 11,215 Senior Play 141g Leoninus Business Staff 1413 Glee Club 11,2,31g Patrol 11,21. 1 Donald, a well-liked member of our class, has been with us since first grade. He can always be seen helping to make our class activities a success. As Amir Din in the senior play, he portrayed a diflicult, but interesting role. When it comes to a good argument, Donald can hold his own, and he can usually win his case. As a member of the basketball and baseball teams, Donald has shown that he is an all-around athlete. He hopes to obtain a job in an oilice, and we know that he will make a very efficient bookkeeper. Y- -

Wayne LeRoy Killian February 7, 1930 Killian Band 12,3,455 Baseball 1255 Glee Club 11,2,3,4,5. Fetterville's contribution to New Holland High in 1945, was Wayne Killian. Wayne has many friends throughout the school, and always greets them with a cheery hello, His abilities centered in the field of music, Wayne is a prom- ing trombone player. He is a member of the newly-formed dance orchestra, organized during the year. Wayne's plans for the future are indefinite but he would like to get special training in industrial arts or a similar vocation. i Rene Thomas Kurtz March 5, 1931 Pete Baseball 11,2,3,455 Basketball 11,255 Band 11,255 Class Treasurer 1255 Class Vice President 1155 Glee Club 115. Baseball is Pete's favorite pastime, as he has been roving' the outfield for Newf Holland High for four years, as well as playing during the summers for the American Legion team. Tom has spent his vacations working for the Machine Com- pany, and, although he is uncertain about the future, he will probably continue his employment at that plant. Having completed twelve years in New Holland, Pete is well-known and popular with his classmates for his witty, timely sayings.

Glenn Slzirk Martin January 20, 1932 HGZWLVIH Glee Club Q1,2,3J3 Basketball f2,3,4Dg Baseball Q4J. Glenn came to New Holland High School in his freshman year, from Goodville. He is the clown of the class-room, and never seems to run out of jokes and wise remarks. Glenn has taken an active part in basketball every season since he joined us, and has proven to everyone that he has plenty of that old school spirit. He also has been a successful farmer of tobacco and has ideas for a prosperous future in this occupation. Marian Horst Martin June 20, 1931 Blondie Glee Club f1,2,3Dg Cafeteria Q1,2,3,4J3 Leoninus Business Staff f4J. 1 Marian is one of the quieter members of the class and she is among the few seniors who started their education at New Hol- land, twelve years ago. Although quiet, she often enjoys a hearty laugh with the members of the class. Marian is a capable commercial student, and has many friends throughout the school. She can be seen every noon in the cafeteria, collecting and counting the money taken in each day. After graduation she plans to enter a secretarial position temporarily with hopes for a permanent career as a housewife. 1
