Frederick Arthur Griffen November 8, 1931 Fred Bachelor Club 1153 Baseball QD. Fred's humorous jokes and witticisms make him a swell guy to know. Although Fred has a pleasing personality, his attentions are not drawn toward 'iwomenf' Fred came to our Alma Mater in tenth grade, and his genial manner has gained him many friends. He holds a good position at Rubinson's Department Store, and in the future hopes to become a salesman. His extensive vocabulary will surely be an asset in this position. Coming from Beartown to join our class in ninth grade, Gunzie made an instant hit with his classmates. Proof of his popularity was shown by his election as president during the sophomore year. His hilarious port1'ayol of Bobby Blake in the senior play, was one of the high spots of his high school career. Wayne's plans after graduation are uncertain, but his boundless energy and pleasing personality are sure to make him a success in any field. '

Quick with the wisecracks and always full of fun, this ball of fire also has his serious moments. He seems to have little time for the opposite sex, although he has nice blue eyes and an unruly crop if brown hair. As associate editor of the T. C. N., Ardell has proven his journalistic ability. He is a commercial student, and wishes to continue in the business world, where he w'ill surely be a success. Laura Gcigley October 6, 1932 Giggles Glee Club 11,2,3,41g Patrol 1413 Senior Play 141g Track 121. Laura the baby of our class, has been with us since ninth grade. She is short and blond, and is noted for her infectious giggle and ability to stir up excitement. She can frequently be seen waving from the window of the New Holland bus on her way home from school, for she is a resident of Blue Ball. Her greatest ambition is to travel and we hope that she will be able to achieve this goal.

Her favorite pastime is reading and a long evening with a good novel proves delightful to her. Because she lives on a farm, she is kept very busy with various chores. Jacoby is one of the local boys who has been with the 49'ers since the beginning of their journey. I Being one of the biggest fellows in the class, he held a start- ing position on the soccer team in both his sophomore and junior years. .Jacoby has beeniactive in the Fire department for quite a while, and 'never hesltates to run out of class when called for service. His goal for the future is to be a linotype operator.
