Kess is a very studious girl, and never leaves school without her books. She has been among those earning high grades during the year, and has worked faithfully to keep herself there. Kessler is no bookworm though, but has taken part in the senior play and other activities. Also she is an outstanding basketball player, and should b . proud of her ability. She is a friend to all, and will do her best to help a friend in need. MARTIN FRANKLIN HOFFMAN SEPTEMBER 13, 1920 NEW HOLLAND, PA. Marty is the statesman of our class, and can make wo1'ds flow like a stream, when giving a speech. which we never tire of. At times he is a bit f'disruptious, but on the whole he is a regular fellow, and when you are with him you can have the time of your life. ARLENE ELIZABETH KLING NOVEMBER 19, 1920 GRoFEDALE, PA. We don't know whether Bob is more interested in his 'horses or his schoolwork, but he is good in both fields. Besides his horsemsanship, he also displays sportsmanship, by his ability to play basketball, on the varsity team. , Bolb is also noted for his popularity among the opposite sex both in and around school. He is a friend to all, -and a big, kind-hearted boy with not much to lose and everything to gain, as he expresses it. WARREN EUGENE GOOD DECEMBER 7, 1920 BOWMANSVILLE, PA. Gene is often seen with one of the opposite sex of our class, namely Lwella. In ltixme of trouble Jeep,' is there to lend a helping hand, and what can be more ,appreciated than A friend in need. Eugene's ambition is to -become ia barber, and he expects to take up that field after graduation. MARK HOUSHOWER JULY 20, 1920 BOWMANSVILLE, PA. Leoninus 141, Sports Club 1115 Glee Club 11, 2, 3, 41, Town Clock News 141g Oper- etta 12, 3, 41 3 Class Day Committee 141. Mark hails from Bowmansville, and although that town is la little ways off, he has seldom missed a ,day of school. We wonder, as we look at M-ark, whatever made him get such a haircut, because really it makes him look unusual. To his pals, Mark is known was Hu.s'hey, but to others he is known as Mark. He is the second Lawrence Tibbet and out of school he is none other than Clark Gable to the opposite sex. Hushey does good work in his classes, and besides this he takes a great interest in other activi- ties. Among his various activities, his most outstanding is his ability in singing Dutch songs. He talks plenty, but when it comes to saying anything that's entirely different. But in spite of not saying anything, he has the class laughing, Whenever there's a chance. Mark's peut longing is to learn to spell words correctly, and to be a professional hitchahiker. i-l Page Twelve ---1 14---j

JACOB HUTCHINSON MYERS APRIL 14, 1920 NEW HOLLAND, PA. Town Clock News 141, Sports Club 111, Glee Club 12, 3, 415 Operetta 13, 415 Stage Manager of Senior Play 1415 Leoninus 141. Jake, the witty fellow of Our class, never lets us down in History class, when a bright remark is needed. When humor is needed, to quell our dull moments, Jake,' is right on the job. He was not on the basketball team, but in his private life, he is very much interested in this game, because he can be found back of Shirkie's store, shooting for goals. Jake knows his bookkeeping from A to Z and his ambition is to become a bookkeeper, which we think he can easily make. The girls are also interested in Jake, for with that wavy hair he can make any one of the op- posite sex sit up and take notice. DOROTHY LORRAINE MARTIN MAY 12, 1920 NEW HOLLAND, PA. Dramatic Club 121 g Town Clock News 12, 3, 41 g Patrol 11, 2, 3, 41, Track 11, 2, 3, 41, Glee Club 11, 2, 3, 415 Operetta 13, 415 Senior Play 141g Basketball 131, Tri-Hi-Y Club 1115 Leoninus 1413 Baseball 11, 215 Hitz-en-Bitz 111. Dorothy is a busy girl, almost too busy to go to school, but she gets there at least three days out of the week. She is a good dancer, and there is never a dull moment when Dot is among the crowd. Her pet subject is horses. Although Dot works after school she has her lessons completed, and if they aren't finished she always manages to find some excuse. She is interested in extra curricular activities, being on the pa- trol forthe last seven years. Dot is also interested in basketball, and can play a good game. ' RICHARD TODD MYERS NOVEMBER 5, 1920 NEW HOLLAND, PA. Glee Club 1115 Patrol 1113 Baseball 12, 3, 41, Track 11, 2, 3, 41g Sports Club 1115 Leoninus 141. Bashful, but cute, that's Todd. He must have been born under a lucky star, for he seems to have a streak of luck . . . for instance that bank night winner. TO say that he is quiet and reserved does not mean that Todd isn't with the class, for he always takes part in its activities. Todd has taken a .great interest in sports, and many a time he has helped to lead the baseball team to victory. On the whole, Richard is a good, all around sport and is liked by everyone in his class. -l--li Page Fourteen 1
