However, flu and injuries hurt the squad. The Chicks finished with a 3-4 record. The team commenced the season with an easy win over Nashua, then dropped their second game to powerful Waverly. Getting back on the winning trail with a 19-O win over Decorah, they then lost at Cedar Falls, 20-14. The following game, against Cresco, was homecoming. Making the event a success, the Tribe emerged with 3 21-12 victory, AfterOelwein's 19-14 upset, and Osage's cancellation, the team dropped their finale to Charles City 13-O.
