Senior Class History In the fall of 1961, 3? innocent and ignorant Freshmen began their four years of struegle and strife at New England Public High School. The class consisted of Clifton Anderson. Bruce Bach, Bonnie Bohlman. Ron- ald Bohlman, John Brustein. Delores Burwick, David Cross, Donald Cross, Arthur Flaaen, James Gussey, Virginia Hanson, Marvin Jorstad, Gary Jalbert, Patrick June, Adeline Kasbere. Anita Kasberr, Dianne Kipp, Sharon Larson, Roger Lutz, Sandra Lutz, Margaret Nielsen, Linda Nelson, Wilbur Rustad, Lillian Sparlund, Shervl Stael, Donna Stane, Linda Steen, Raymond Stenmoen, Linda Wilhelm, Russ- ell Wilhelm, Ronald Waliezer, and Jean Zastoupil. Gary Jalbert led us as Pres- ident and David Cross served as Secretary-Treasurer. As traditional, we were initiated bv the sophomore class on September 13, our class advisor was Mr. P a i nVr . We started our SoDhomore year by having lost John Brustein, Arthur Flaaen. Dianne Kipp. Sharon Larson, Raymond Stenmoen, and Ronald Waliezer but were pleas- ed to gain Carolvn F.ettineer, and James Hammer. Our class was led by Linda Nel- son as President and Bruce Bach as Secretary-Treasurer. Our advisor was Mr. Gert h. Our Junior year commenced by the loss of one member, James Hammer. On April 2M . our class play, No Boys ALlowed, directed by Mr. Heinert was present- ed. We chose the theme Oriental Gardens for our Prom which was held on May 2. Our class president was Donald Cross. The loss of Linda Wilhelm decreased the number of our Senior Class to 26. Our officers were President-Pruce Bach and Secretarv-Treasurer-Linda Steen. Our Advisor was Mr. Broton. On Aoril 23 we presented our Senior Class Plav, directed bv Miss Dill. Mav 1 was the beginning of our Class Trip to the Black Hills from which we returned on Mav 17. Class Night was held on Mav 19 and Baccalaureate was held on the 23 of Mav. The dav we had all been waiting for came Mav 26, as the we11-remembered Seniors of 1965 graduated from NEHS. 18
