LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT The Senior Class of 1948, being of sound mind and body, do hereby will and bequeath the following treasured articles and characteristics which have distinguished them during their sojourn in this institution. They hope that these treasures will be well cared for and used to the best advantage. MARLYN wills his brains in Bookkeeping to Vincent Booge, and his off-balance shot to Carl Seidel. With all the shots he has acquired, this should put Carl in the same bracket as Minnesota's Bud Grant. ROLLO wills his manner of walking to Skippy Wambolt, and his photographic work to Dean Johnson. Photography can be an interesting hobby, Dean! OSCAR wills his unruly hair to Gunnar Husby, and his acrobatic ability to Russel Laughlin. Practice makes perfect, Russel. PAUL wills his leadership and ability to organize to his brother, Wallace, and musical ability to Philip Hitchcock. We hope it takes Philip as far as it did George Gershwin. MURXEL wills her various secretarial jobs to Lois Scott, and her dimples to Loren Avenson. Better sign that contract with M-G-M Loren. KENNETH wills his ability to play basketball to Harold Schubert. and his coarse incessant voice to Melvin Rand. Maybe it will get you out of as many jams as it did Kenny. Mel! DOROTHY wills her typing ability to Ted Kellner, and her freckles to Evelyn Miller. Then she can run competition to Butch Jenkins. GERALD wills his Butch haircuts to James Shortridge, and the stuff inside his head called brains, is to be equally divided among all who have a below C average. DONALD wills his wavy hair to Donald Bridell, and his suave manner to Robert Burchett. With his looks, this will put Bob in the Gregory Peck class. ELAINE wills her blonde hair to Einar Husby, and her cheer leading outfit to Ann Irwin. See you in the Rosebowl, Ann! BEVERLY wills her artistic ability to George Carlson, and her temper to Jean Halvorson. It sometimes takes more courage t do right than to slay dragons, --so the slogan saysli I, ,xl I The senior class as a whole wills this shovel X g to the Junior Class so they can dig ,X i

CLASS PROPHECY May 26, 1958 A JACKPINE SAVAGE VISITS NEW YORK My boss had at long last given me a week off and since it had always been my secret desire to see the big city I decided to use my meager savings for a trip. The most economical way to travel was by way of a new invention called, THE FLYING DOME. The pilot came in to see if everyone was settled before the take off, who was to our amusement none other than PAUL CASE. After chatting merrily for a few minutes we discovered he was also the inventor of this newest revelation in air travlel. Glancing out of my window I noticed we were surrounded by tall buildings. The hostess arrived and informed us of the fact that we had just landed on the roof of the WALDORF- ASTORIA. Collecting our baggage we made our way to the elevator. I was jovially talking to PAUL when we were inter- rupted by what I thought was a familiar voice. Imagine meeting MARLYN! And in uniform---that is, an elevator boy's uniform! MARLYN began explaining that jobs were hard to get. Besides, he said, I can get a philosophical veiw-point of life, by working among the richer class. Saying goodby to PAUL and MARLYN I traversed across the huge lobby to the desk. A flash of recognition swept across my mind as I glanced at the typist! As she turned and flung me a cheery smile I realized I didn't know her. Egadl I sure wish I had. After registering I followed the bellboy to my room. While putting on my best suit I was contemplating whether I should ask the typist to share dinner with me. I decided against it, and so I made my way to the STORK CLUB. After enjoying an excellent meal I relaxed to wait for the entertainment which was to fgllow, With a roll of drums MONA LAKE stepped into the spotlight to lead her all-girl orchestra in the first number of the evening. The second number featured that famous crooner of the day, that over-night sensation ROLLO R. BUCK, singing, MY ATOMIC LOVE! When I was about to leave I literally bumped intof' MURIEL DUDLEY. As I was seeing her home I invited her to go with me to CONEY ISLAND the following morning. Nevis High School Class of '48 was certainly being brought to light, imagine having already seen four of that enormous class of eleven members. As we entered the big top, next morning, and took our seats, the band began to play. Bozo, the clown, made his
