L. Fowler, Vice President, Dr. W. E. Hoff- mann, C. H. Jones, Jr., Lynn M. Ewing, President, George M. Logan, Treasurer, 0. M. Flory, and Dr. W. S. Love. The Board of Education is composed of six men who, although they have their professions and obligations, find timeto donate their valuable services and leadership toward inmproving our school system. Under their leadership, an extensive building program was launched. Their con- tinued efforts have resulted in the successful and ever progressive advancement of our school. The community and school appreciate the civic minded men who have the foresight and ability t.o seek increasing improvement of our educational system. XML W YT w""!" il upmnfemfenf The achievements of our Superintendent of Schools C H Jones Jr speak for themselves We need only to look around us to become aware of a spirit of progress and growth in our school sys tem Much of th1S is the result of the work and planning of Mr Jones When Mr Jones became Superintendent in 1948 he was not a stranger to us for he had served as Principal for two years He received his A B degree from Southwest Missouri State College and his M Ed degree from the University of M1 souri where he has done additional graduate work As c1ty superintendent of schools Mr. Jones has an admirable record. It can be said of Mr. Jones that he renders service with a smile.' Mrs. Ruth Weltmer is the attractive and efficient secretary to the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools. She has served Nevada High School for fifteen years.
