For the iirst time the organization was made elective rather than com- pulsory, but the membership did not diminish. Chairmen of the six committees within the So- dality discussed projects planned by the otiieers and then introduced them to the members. By this means the Publicity committee sponsored Fatima Week, which included the enacting of a living rosary on the back campus. National Catho- lic Book Week was also observed with a book dis- play arranged by the Literature Committee. At Thanksgivingr baskets were tilled with food for the poor by the Missions Committee, while Christ- mas packages were packed for children of Lebanon, Kentucky and Cape Girardeau, Missouri by the Eucharistic Committee. Also at Christmas time the Apostolic Committee gave a party for the children of St. Mary's Orphan Home. Our Lady's Committee participated very actively in packing the Easter baskets for children and ill the birth- day party sponsored by all the Sodality Commit- tees.
