RIFLE CLUB BACK ROW: Mr. Hall, Mr. Messer, Mr. Snow, Ballard, Boals, Robinsons, Buzzard, Stantefer, Jones Snow, Livengston, Swan, Sullivan. RIFLE CLUB One of the most popular and fastest growing clubs in N. H. S. is the Rifle Club. The club is open to either boys or girls who are interested in firing, care of the rifle, and safety with guns. The Neosho Rifle Club received its charter from the National Rifle Association on March 27, '55. The club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week at the Neosho fairgrounds under the sponsorship of Mr. Messer. The 22 caliber rifles and targets are fur- nished by the army, but the club furnishes its own ammunition. Dale Richards, Club president, was not present at the time pictures were taken. THIRD ROW: Lamb, Long, Jaeger, Dowe, Stawford, Holkenbrink, Groshong. The Cosmopolitan Club, commonly known as the Cosmo Club, was organized in 1952. It is made up of those students taking Latin or Spanish and is sponsored by Mr. Carl Summers, the teacher of these classes. Members of this club have many projects throughout the year including both classroom activities and outside ones. Science Club is a relatively young organization of the school. Irs purpose is to create an inter- est in the fields of science. This year the club sponsored a science fair and a great number of exhibits were on display which represented the knowledge of the club members about the mathematical, biological, and chemical fields of sci- ence.
