Slucfeni eauncil 7fze 'Voice af '7fze Slucfenld One of the chief objects of American education today is tol instill within the student the knowledge of democracy, democratic principles, and their im- portance. The Student Council of H. H. S. functions as a governing body in cooperation with the administration. To hold a position in the Student Council is to hold a position both hon- ored ancl respected by students and teachers alike, One representative is chosen from each home room and one from each class. An all-school election is held in the fall for presidentund for secretary. The vicepresiclent is elected at the be- ginning of the second semester.
