5. Fry PEP CL B BETTY TOY HAAS President .. 5 E - J w 171 ,, X For many years, Neosho High School has needed a Pep Club to assist the cheerleaders in spurring the team on to victory. For one reason or another, this important project has been prolonged until finally in the winter of l945, Miss l-litzeman and Miss Anderson sponsored a pep club. This year, under the supervision ot Miss Gant, it has become an active organization. President of the Pep Club is Betty Ioy Haas with Phyllis Anderson, vice-president, and lo Ann Yagge, secretary. The cheerleaders, Mary Lou Matthews, Ioyce Anderson, Wilma Lee Baleg, lean Hunter, Nancy Sue Welch, Oradean Naramore, H. P. Evans, and lack Kenney, have really done a wonderful job in supporting the team. A Pep Club bus was ialcen to each game in order to have a cheering section to back up the team. The busses were driven by members ot the faculty who generously gave up their time to make it possible to have a cheering squad at the games. Pep Club meetings are held two times a week. At these meetings the cheerleaders intro- duce any new yells that they have besides practicing the old ones. We grateiully show our appreciation to the cheerleaders and their sponsor, Miss Gant, tor making possible this strong organization. Page

SQ fi BIOLOGY CL B BABBABA BBANHAM President He's not crazyg nor is he affected by the weather. l-le's just being initiated into the Logos Bios Club. This enterprising club was founded under the struggling efforts of that tireless, energetic Mr. Baker in 1944-45. The club grew rapidly the first year. llt's a secret how members survived the experiments, and the Biology parties? Because of Mr. Baker's leaving at the end of that year, the members were in need of a new sponsor. So, came Mrs. Geary. But at the end of the semester, our unfortunate club was once again without a director. Y For the remainder of the year, the club was under the leadership of Mrs. Beuber. This year, Mr. Fryback has taken over the responsibilities of our science society. After the initiation held during the school day, a formal initiation is held in the evening, and officers are elected. This year, Barbara Branham is presiding over the meetings, while Rosalind Baugher capably handles the position of vice-president. Sergeant-at-arms is Clyde Lampo, and Lila Bishop acts as secretary-treasurer. Biology Club members, We wish you as much fun and achievement in the future as you've had in the past. Page 27
