They have continued to serve in the ever fast changing world we know today. They stand out as reminders that the laws of nature and God still prevail, and display the virtues of mankind we constantly strive to attain. As the trees, may we look forward with confirmed determination to better serve our fellow man. We hope the 1961 Yearbook will help bind the friendships, and retain in our memories the years of our lives as students in Negaunee High. "Trees" was selected as the theme and inspiration of your Pioneer. As we branch out in life, may the roots we have established guide us, as we encounter the certain ties and problems toward a better world, Go, then, and plant a tree, lovely in sun and shadow, Gracious in every kind-maple and oak and pine. Peace of the forest glade, wealth of the fruitful meadow, Blessings of dew and shade, hereafter shall be thine. Individual photos, group and faculty pictures, as well as photographs of the various organizations in school are all important to a successful yearbook. However, candid shots of our students and faculty going about the routine business of school life are more revealing of the day to day events that we will remember and cherish in years to come. We hope that in these off-guard "shots" you might see your- selves and your classmates in some of the casual moments of our school life. 122 5 2 3 ex R x k g 5 e fi N I A - S 1 . Q 1 s 1 f 55 5 S 25.
