"7 ff' '1- Mrs Amanda Williams school nurse prepares Central pupils for dental clinic The health program of Negaunee Schools is under the supervision of Mrs Amanda Williams R N She has offices in the Central Grade School and the Lakeview School The high school students are taken care of through the Central Grade Clinic All students of Negaunee Schools receive a yearly dental check up from Dr Sanregret the school dentist and the students under fifteen years of age receive free patch tests for tuberculosis The students over fifteen nave x ays taken by the State Mobile X ray Unit Vitamin pills are administered to children from kindergarten to the sixth grade at the rate of approximately l00,000 a year About 30,000 iodine tablets are consumed by all grades. This constantly expanding program is giving Negaunee Public School students the best possible chance for good health. These lectures have been very inter- esting and helpful to the girls. They have also visited neighboring hospitals with their adviser, Mrs. Williams. The Future Nurses Club is open to all girls from grades ten through twelve who are interested in any phase of nursing.
