The Future Homemakers of America started their 1965-66 year with the annual FHA District 1 meeting held at N.C.H.S. At this Convention new district officers were appointed, and a fashion show was held in which the girls from this district modeled clothing they had made. To keep the girls busy the rest of the year, they had several other projects, such as, selling cookbooks, an all school desk Front row: Mrs. Biere, sponsor, L. Gress, B. Wurtele, P. Miyoshi, S. FHA Week, in March, had a great deal in store for the FHA'ers. Some projects for the week were attending church, decorating window displays, writing articles for the newspaper, and the crowning of Little Miss FHA. F.N Mrs. Heinke, Helen Kenken, Kay Rogers, Susan Larson, Judy Bebout •C A casual F.N.C meeting. The Future Nurses Club was composed of fifteen members. New members who received pins were Carol Rashleigh, Carol Neil, and LaurineOberdieck.The officerswere elected in the spring of 1965. During Homecoming a float was built for the parade and later in the year a bake sale was held to raise money. A tea which was attended by the members was held in December in order to celebrate the Christmas season. It was the annual tea sponsored by the doctor's wives. Near the end of the year, the mothers and wives of the doctors were invited to a style show given by the Future Nurses in appreciation of their help and cooperation.
