W frank Naselle entered into track this year with a good spirit and consequently had a good turn out as we have several good men who were willing to work for the County Track Meet in April at South Bend The men displayed all their fine points both at Ilwaco in the dual meet and the county meet Our success was largely due to the backing of the student body and to M1 Lobaugns splendid work The school board made practice possible by having had the field leveled last spring Naselle 1S glad of the success of the track team and are looking forward to another season Another will doubtless bring more support than this year as everyone realizes that track is a worthwhile sport Joe Shriver 31 4 1lIPI'UfIP1lIB1ll5 During the school year 1928 29 many improvements have been added to our school An extra teacher was added to the staff during the year The second semester new courses in commercial law arithmet c glee club and gymnasium were added Next year plans are under way for a football team. This will add another activity that has never been tried be fore. We should have plenty of good material for a first class football team A track team was added this year which is also a new feature in our school. The school grounds were landscaped this spring which adds a great deal to the appearance of the building. Improvements done outside of school but which help improve the school greatly IS the opening of the road to Grays Bay community This brought pupils from those places and people to various entertainments which the school has given.
