A This is the story of one school that has grown and served Dallas Well under the rich heritage of freedom. But, in a sense, it is far more than that, for it reflects the history of education eX- panding hand in hand with other American institutions of in- dustry, commerce, and culture. Sixty years ago the Board of Education purchased a build- ing from the Dallas Female Academy for a school to be called the Dallas High School. The original Dallas High School could not bear comparison by the standards of today, but it paved the way for the future edu- cational service of the school. The name of the school was changed to Main High School about l900, to Bryan Street High in l9lU, to Dallas Tech in l929g then in l943 it was given its present name of the N. R. Crozier Technical High School. The purpose of the school through the years has been to educate all the children of all the people. Present plans are being made to modernize and enlarge the N. B. Crozier Technical High School. These plans include a large athletic field, military grounds, more shops, a modern cafe- teria, a larger gymnasium, a larger auditorium, extra-curricular activities, and courses in social and civic duties. When the plans are fulfilled the capacity of the school will be enlarged to ac- commodate 3,5OU students. lt is the responsibility of the past, present, and future stu- dents fo Tech to put the love of their Alma Mater into Words and deeds, and help make these improvements for a better school of tomorrow. Pegg Ten DEDlCATlON We, the graduating class oi lune, l9-46, dedicate this Wolf Pack to Miss Pauline Warner, teacher of Eng- lish in the N. R. Crozier Technical I-ligh School. Miss Warner holds the B. A. and M. A. degrees from the University of Texas. She has written, edited, and abridged several English books for school use in Texas. ln her years at Tech, the pupils in her classes have found that she always has time to lend a helping hand for any outside work. The students who have been so fortunate as to have had Miss Warner as their teacher have been enriched in thoughts of the good, the pure, and the beautiful things of life. ln recognition of her uniailing and patient service to N. R. Crozier Technical l-ligh School and its students, We proudly dedicate this annual to Miss Pauline Warner. . 3111 ,illkemurtam Mr. fllml QB. SGSFVV e 2 -2' 1 S 5 L No honor conferred by the school excels that repre- sented by the election to National Honor Society, for it represents the fundamental objectives for which schools are instituted and gives recognition to those who have most nearly attained these objectives, Other honors at the disposal of the school are only partial in the sense that they recognize specialized ability, skill, or talent: but this society looks upon education as a total product measured by the four dimensions of life. By election to this society, the faculty honors students for attainments already made and for the promise they contain of the continued excellence in the cherished ideals of this school.
