LOWER ROW' Marrroleo, Tavener, Clarlc, Rogers, Youngr, Trumbell, Jonef, Vogel, Salato, High FCOTBALL Despite the loss of many veterans from the previous year's squad, the prospects for Mynderse Acaderny's 1933 football team seemed very encouraging, how- ever, hampered by frequent injuries, Coach Baker's Blue and White eleven compiled the disappointing record of two wins, two ties and four losses, scoring fifty-seven points to its opponents' seventy-one. Led by Captain Knox, Mynderse opened its season at ,Ithaca against the power- ful Ithaca High eleven on September 23. Although defeated 19 to O, the team put up a very creditable fight. On September 30 in the first home game of the season, Marcellus was defeated by a score of 19 to O. On October 7 Mynderse was held to a scoreless tie at Watkins Glen and the following week on the State Street field bowed to Geneva 13 to 7. On October 21, Mynderse won a 19 to 6 victory over Starkey Seminary in a rough game. The following week, Painted Post obtained ample revenge for the 13 to 6 setback it received here in 1932 by giving Mynderse a 13 to O licking. On November 4, in the last home game of the season Newark rallied in the second half to tie Mynderse 6 to 6. The season was brought to a close on November 11 at Owego, where Mynderse dropped a 14 to 6 decision. Cecil Fitzgerald, veteran tackle, was elected captain for 1934, when Mynderse will play as a member of the Central lnterscholastic League. Other members of this league, all of whom appear on the 1934 schedule, are Waterloo, Penn Yan, Watkins Glen, Elmira Heights, Horseheads and Starkey Seminary. Mynderse will lose from this year's squad Captain Knox, Eugene Sullivan, Philip Wycker, Harold Bachman, Douglas f A ' Cousin, Dominick Romeo, Briney Dombrowski, Charles Ralston, Clare Hoster, Frederick Clark, Paul Bracht, los- eph Stenglein, Stuart Miller.
