ARIATIGNS IN STUDY H BITS Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, over many a quaint and curious vol- ume of forgotten lore- . . . with an abundant supply of no-doz, Diet-Rite, cookies--and four term papers, live tests, two book reports, and six classes to prepare for tomorrow . . . It may not be quite that bad, but study is, after all, the primary objective of most college stu- dents and few escape the tried and true burning of the midnight oil. College students learn to survive on a surprisingly few hours of sleep and an amazingly large consumption of colas and No-Doz pills. Most students are too busy getting an education to study until late at night when volumes of long forgotten lore beckon. Study habits are many and varied but always the cen- tral core of the college student's life is that never-end- ing, often tiring and frustrating, but rewarding en- deavor known as Study.

CHRISTMAS HITS Tl-IE CAMPUS Suddenly it was December and thoughts turned to Christmas-and parties and tinsel-decorated trees and mysterious packages and eggnog and shopping and sending Christmas cards and GOING HOME! 'Twas the season to be jolly and the campus reflected the elated mood with Christmas carols played from the SUB, holiday parties and dances, parties for the under- privileged children, open houses and receptions. Girls living in the dorms were treated to Christmas caroling by the fraternities. There were Christmas trees, deco- rated doors, and MISTLETOE in the dorms. Even though professors insisted on giving tests during the week before vacation, a minimum of study was done by all as the great day sped closer.
